" I do not pretend to be a divine man, but I do believe in divine guidance, divine power, and divine prophecy. I am not educated, nor am I an expert in any particular field—but I am sincere and my sincerity is my credentials. "

Lizette Ayala is a Salvadoran-Mexican digital designer based in New York City, with roots in Dallas, Texas. She is a recent graduate of Parsons School of Design, where she studied experiential design, computational form, and global surveillance practices. Here, she produced work with an intense focus on fostering digital autonomy and agency within marginalized communities of color, particularly within the global and Deep South.
She is currently working as a freelance web designer and developer, a practice in which she leads with the motto “Love, labor and lastly logic” — in an attempt to embed communal compassion and care within the formulation of technical structures in our collective digital ecosystem.
Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Latina Magazine, The Los Angeles Time, Good Day LA and showcased by Parsons School of Design, Nike, New York University, Footlocker, Root Studios, The New Museum, Swiss Institute, El Museo del Barrio, Dallas Museum of Art, and Scope of Work.
